(MUEDA, MEMORY AND MASSACRE) FILM
"Specters of Freedom" was a film program in the framework of "Living Archive - Archive Work as a Contemporary Artistic and Curatorial Practice", a project by Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art.
"Specters of Freedom: Cinema and Decolonialisation" establishes links between the Arsenal film archive and two archives in Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau which relate an important chapter in the story of anti-colonial African cinema. Over a total of five evenings, films of different origins, visual fragments and soundtracks create a resonance chamber which serves to bring up for discussion both the role of cinema in the decolonialisation processes of the 1970s and the politics of film archives.
The program included the video installation These are the weapons (2012) in the Black Box in the Arsenal lobby (Nov 5 to 12 and 26 to 28, daily from 16.00 to 22.00).

O programa chama-se "A forma que imita o seu assunto".
A ideia é experimentar, durante cerca de 1 hora, juntar três pessoas com perfis diferentes para conversarem sobre um tema comum. O assunto será a imagem que faz/opera o colectivo.
O conteudo deste programa é o que vier a acontecer da interacção informal entre de três pessoas, eu (Catarina Simão), Raquel Ribeiro (jornalista do Público e comentadora política) e Cintia Gil (Filósofa e co-directora do DocLisboa). Não haverá moderador, portanto. A radio, e a prevalencia do som apareceu como ideal para este tipo de experiência, com resultados emergentes interessantes, ainda que não imediatamente identificados . Isso torna a proposta mais próxima de uma performance que de um debate de conteúdos.
Filosofia, Arte e política, e ver/experimentar de que forma a conversa se calibra durante cerca de uma hora, se conseguimos (ou não) modelar uma relação sem hierarquia, criar na cabeça do ouvinte a sensação de um espaço utópico, que tanto pelo conteudo do que é dito como pela forma como se diz, crie uma espécie de plano de começo

GHOST was a cycle of five invitations made to collective projects which, in the context of an artistic residency, occupy the space of the Atelier Real in order to explore different ways of presenting their works and freely programming this experiment for two weeks. Their name is an acronym of [Guest + Host] and it is in the dynamics suggested by this relationship between opposites that we lay the basis for a working experiment; in this case, between the one who is receiving and the one who is received.
